I have been working out with Aponi for just about one year now. In that time I have lost 30 pounds and dropped my body fat from 25% to 12%. She has kept the work outs different and fun. I now have so much energy and feel just AWESOME. Getting fit helps so much with my self esteem and confidence. I really cant thank her enough!! -Tim
I’ve been doing CrossFit at CrossFit New Life for 7 months now, and today I can say I am in the best shape of my life! 20lbs lost, 5″ off the waist, and I can still feel myself getting fitter every day. I started CrossFit to get in shape for ski season, but since then my life has been changed in so many more ways. I feel great. I look great. I walk with a confidence that I’ve never had before. And the skiing? This has been the best ski season of my life! I am blown away by the things I am capable of now. In everyday life, my clothes fit better and everyone CONSTANTLY compliments me on how much better I look.
If you’ve decided to try CrossFit, there are plenty of gyms around the valley. CrossFit New Life is different because the trainers really know how to make a workout fun! The level of attention and encouragement is unlike anything in any other gym I’ve tried, and I can call myself an athlete because of it. Crossfit NewLife Rocks! I am a Muay Thai Fighter and trainer who wanted to try something new to ramp up my workouts. I have been training, fighting and coaching for 14+ years but WOW I got my A#% trashed the first day, second, third, etc…. What a great workout and what great coaches. Not only are the coaches amazing at what they do, but the whole place makes you feel welcome and part of a family. The people I work out with are coaches as well- cheering you on, pumping you up, pushing you harder-we feed off of each other! What an awesome community and a cool feeling. i’m addicted. CrossFit New Life has great coaches. They mix up the workouts every day so nothing gets boring and a variety of muscles are getting worked every day. They also integrate moves that stretch a person physically and mentally. The phrase “I can’t” doesn’t exist at New Life. I currently struggle with certain movements or exercises, the coaches push me to succeed. A month ago, I would never have thought I could do a hand stand against a wall or that it would be a good exercise. Now I can hold a hand stand for a several seconds and even get a couple of hand stand pushups. After a couple of months at CrossFit New Life, I went mountain biking on one of my favorite trails. My lung capacity was much better than it had been in a long time and I was able to ride sections of the trail that I hadn’t ridden in 15 years. My leg muscles felt great when before they would fatigue quickly and I would be walking my bike. It was a great reward and confidence booster to see how CF New Life had benefited me physically and mentally. The benefit of CrossFit New Life isn’t only in the gym or on the trail but also at home. My energy level is now on par with my kids and when they ask to go on a bike ride or play football or soccer, I no longer hesitate to get out there and play. Also, yard work that used to leave me sore because I would be squatting up and down no longer fazes me. One of the main things I love about CrossFit New Life is that there are no gimmicks in the gym. There’s no, “take this pill and sit on your butt and in 6 months you’ll have the results you want.” The philosophy is, “commit, come in, eat right, and work hard to get the results you want.” There have been times I wanted to quit and I probably would have if Noah had not been there to help me push through the pain. If you want results and are willing to put in the effort, then stop looking because CrossFit New Life is the place for you. If you want to sit on the end of a bench in between reps and look at yourself in a mirror, then look somewhere else. – Stuart
CrossFit New Life is awesome! In the past when I went snowboarding I would get tired really quick and stick to the easy trails. But now I can board all day on any kind of terrain and not even think twice. I have hit bigger jumps, dropped 12 foot cliffs, and have also increased my speed. I push all fear aside with the knowledge and confidence I have gained from CrossFit in knowing the limits of my body and mind.
Before CrossFit New Life I was lazy and unmotivated. Now my days are 18 hours long, I’ve snowboarded longer and harder than ever, and my work days are easier to get through. I spend all day on my feet and no longer feel any back pain or fatigue. My sleep quality has also improved greatly. Thank You CrossFit for giving me the tools to change and improve my life.
I work on my feet 8 to 12 hours a day. Before I joined CrossFit I was always tired and exhausted from my work day. Now I am a harder worker with more energy and a renewed sense of purpose to my every day task. I don t ever feel depressed like I used to, instead I bring a bright and cherry attitude to work that seems to infect everyone I work with. Plus I still have energy after work to go and hangout with friends. I give a jolly two thumbs up to CrossFit New Life! – Mike
About 5 weeks ago we signed up at Noah Taylor’s gym. We are 59 and 54 years old and knew we had to do something to maintain ourselves so we could continue to do some of our favorite activities such as skiing, dirt biking and hiking. We knew a bit about CrossFit style training and how simple sets of exercises using just a few weights, kettle bells, pull up bars and your own body weight could transform physical condition from poor to good in a relatively short time. Noah’s gym is centrally located and he has an excellent grasp of what our generation needs and more importantly, what we can handle. Before joining Noah’s gym, doing the exercises by ourselves in our basement was O.K., and we had made some progress, however, there is no substitute for a personal trainer at the gym who organizes each set of exercises for the group in session. Don’t get us wrong, it is not easy, but it is doable and Noah has a quick wit and encouraging nature that makes the sessions fun. During the 1st month we trained in the basic moves, many of them are similar to Olympic training but with much lighter weights. Once we had a grasp of the basic workout moves we can now participate in the regular sessions offered throughout the day with other clients. Sue and I have both become much stronger in all of the real world functional things we need to do. Our pants are looser, our butts are tighter and one of my friends even said I am developing a 6 pack. We heartily recommend Noah’s gym and invite you to come down for an introductory session.
